It’s not just about learning how to punch and kick! The past few months have been very busy. There have been several events that our dojo participated in.
December, a local radio station did their annual toy drive that we all went down to and donated toys that went to Help of Southern Nevada . It was a great way to show our community support. We all left Nevada Energy with smiles on our faces knowing that we were helping others in more need than us.

TOURNAMENT NEWS………….
January had the Pacific Rim tournament. Every one that attended this tournament was very dedicated in their training for this tournament. Many students started training three and four months before the tournament started. And the hard work paid off. Almost all of the International Academy of Martial Arts students that participated won a trophy. We all had something to be proud of for weeks after.
April had another tournament this time it was just for the kids. With support from Sensei Vladimir, Sensei Andy and Sensei Gilberto all of our students eighteen and under had a great time. Just like the tournament in January this one was open to all styles of martial arts and abilities. This made competition tight and all of the students did very well. For the students that participated for the first time.
February came up on us quickly and our students where getting ready for belt testing. During this time we all go over what we know and make it look its best. Each belt rank has different techniques that we have to know and know well before we can receive our next belt rank.
March testing was the first weekend of the month. Every one that tested proved that they were ready to move on to the next belt rank. There is something to be said about hard work and having it pay off. One of the important points that the black belts made during testing was that, we are a family when we are here in the dojo. We all encourage each other to do our best, work hard and, respect each other.
May and it is time again to get ready for testing in June. We are also looking forward to a wild and fun Ninja Night. This is tentative for Saturday May 14th more information will be sent out as the date gets closer. The dojo will also be closed for Memorial weekend, Saturday the 28th Sunday the 29th and Monday the 30th
June, the first weekend in June is belt testing again.
Keep in touch.
